Privacy Policy for Ren’Py Tales
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
At Ren’Py Tales (offered by BROS PORTS, contact: hs902810@gmail.com), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with our mobile application, Ren’Py Tales (the “App”), and our website, https://renpytales.fun.
1. Clear Disclosure of Data Practices
Google Play policies require that apps provide users with transparent disclosures regarding the collection, use, and sharing of personal and sensitive user data. Ren’Py Tales is designed with a strict privacy-first, local-only architecture. The App does not collect, request, transmit, or share any personal, sensitive, or user-identifying information.
2. Information We Access and How It Is Used
To function correctly as a custom visual novel launcher and mod engine, the App accesses the following data on your device. All accesses are restricted to locally providing the App’s functionalities:
- Device Storage (Read & Write Permissions): The App requires access to your device’s files, photos, media, and directories to allow you to import, extract, and run legally obtained Ren’Py games (such as ZIP archives or game folders). This permission is also used to save and restore your game progress. All imported games and save snapshots are kept strictly on your local device.
- Internet Permission: The App requires internet access to check for engine updates, load optional web-based game streams, and to load advertisements from our third-party provider (Unity Ads).
3. Third-Party Data Collection (Advertising SDK)
The App integrates the third-party Unity Ads SDK to serve advertisements. Unity Ads may collect non-sensitive device metadata to deliver and optimize relevant ads. This data may include:
- Device manufacturer, model, and operating system.
- IP address (used to determine general country/region location).
- Mobile advertising identifiers (such as Google Play Services ID / AAID).
This data is collected directly by Unity, and we do not have access to or store this information. For details on how Unity Ads processes and manages this data, please refer to the Unity Privacy Policy.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any personal user data with third parties. Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no information to disclose or share.
5. User Data Deletion Request (Google Play Compliance)
Under Google Play Console Data Safety requirements, developers must provide users with a clear path to request the deletion of their data.
Because Ren’Py Tales does not require or support user accounts, and does not store any of your personal or game-related data on external remote servers, there is no online data to delete.
You can delete all locally stored game files, cache, and save data at any time by:
- Using the 1-click COMPLETE data cleanup option directly on the game dashboard within the App.
- Clearing the App’s storage and cache in your Android system settings.
- Uninstalling the App from your device.
If you have any questions or would like to verify data safety, you can submit a request to our support email at: hs902810@gmail.com.
6. COPPA (Children’s Privacy) and GDPR Compliance
We do not target or knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from any users, our practices are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards regarding minor safety.
7. User Responsibility and Disclaimer
Ren’Py Tales is a powerful utility engine and player. It is delivered as a blank application and does not host, provide, or pre-load any copyrighted games, stories, or media files. Users are solely responsible for supplying their own legally acquired Ren’Py content and adhering to the respective creators’ licenses.
